Do leopard geckos pee?

I just bought a leopard gecko about 4 days ago and noticed a bit of a yellowish color in the sand. This isn't pee is it? And one other thing, when we put water in her water bowl, in less then 2 hours its gone. Does it evaporate that quickly if it is distilled? Is that what the yellowish color is?
