How can I put this out of my mind and focus on other things?

First off your still young yet so don't disregard it yet, you still have lots of time to find someone and i know that someday you will, that just means there is someone very special out there for you. It's when you stop looking that you'll find the one. Anyhow the only thing I can tell you is just to keep yourself busy doing positive things.
