7 month old wakes for his Paci...?

My son is almost seven months old. He sleeps great through the night sometimes, but as of late he has been waking up at 4am or something, not for food (If I feed him he falls asleep within the first minute) or for attention. If I pop the paci in he falls right back asleep all on his own. He does this one to two times a night. How can I keep him from waking me up just for the pacifier without taking it away completely?
