idk! i was wondering the same the same thing! but i guess the quote can be taken both ways like he could really be crazy but he would prefer to die as a good man in his "fantasy world" rather than live as a monster and accept the fact he killed his wife or it could mean he really never was crazy like your dad says? Idk, but ive been wondering the same thing since i watched it. The hospital and the man that runs it did seem kind of crooked though and that one scene after he spent the night w/ "the real racheal" he said something about his work & what he built &trying to protect it. The movie really makes you think though.
