Sump pump and pump crock installation question.?

If you can install the pump pit in the lowest spot of the basement floor, that's great. Just be sure you can live with the pit and the related piping in the center of the room. If so, then dig away, and when you plumb it out, if there's a drain line going to a dry well, you can tap into that with a sweep ell. I wouldn't recommend putting this water into the septic, there's probably enough water goes in there. Be sure to put a check valve in the vertical line going up. I generally install one at about chest high when standing next to the pit. That way it's right at a good height to remove if it becomes necessary.
